Looking for health insurance for an independent Indiana medical practice?
One of the biggest challenges for many medical practices is finding first-rate health coverage at an affordable price. In 2018, the Medical Practice Consortium (MPC) was formed to help face this challenge. The MPC consists of more than 75 Indiana medical practices that have pooled together to leverage their strength and size to obtain affordable health coverage for their physicians, employees, and families.
The five-member MPC Board of Trustees has assembled a team of benefit advisors, actuaries, and legal professionals to help facilitate this goal. Indiana State Medical Association Insurance Agency, Inc. serves as the Consortium’s arrangement manager.
The MPC offers Anthem PPO and HSA plans with a range of deductibles through Anthem using the broad Blue Access Network. As the Pharmacy Benefit Manager, EpiphanyRx returns all prescription drug rebates to the plan, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.
Participating requires an annual commitment, which helps maintain stability. Participating medical practices are experience-rated, so groups with low claims qualify for discounted premiums. Find more information here.
